
Richard Millerick,
Executive Director
Rick has been Executive Director for eight years. He led Washington
Dollars for Scholars through its initial chartering in 1999, and has been
instrumental in the region’s phenomenal growth. Rick began chapter
development in the Pacific Northwest in 1997 and more than doubled the
number of Dollars for Scholars chapters in Washington. He has 31 years
experience in nonprofit management including 17 years with Boys and Girls
Clubs. Rick has also been a school principal and a community college
instructor. He has a B.A. in Parks and Recreation Administration with an
emphasis in management and communications from Washington State
University.
Selena Allen, Admin/Program Services Manager
Selena is the most recent addition to our office, having joined in October
of 2006. Selena is a recent graduate of Argosy University is Seattle
where she earned her BA in Psychology. She recently served as the Affiliate
& Membership Services Manager for a professional association serving early childhood educators.
Carly
Brown, Oregon Community Programs Specialist Carly joined Dollars
for Scholars in November 2005 as one of two Community Programs Specialists
who are establishing and supporting Dollars for Scholars chapters and ScholarShop
sites in Oregon communities. Carly is a graduate of the University
of California, Santa Cruz and is currently working toward a Master's
degree in public administration, concentrating in nonprofit management, at
Portland State University. Her recent positions included membership
director and conference coordinator for a professional association of
movement educators. She is particularly focused on mission-based
